11:10 (CET) - GbpUsd: great strength from the pound
|
The pair met the top of the downwards range that comes from the 5th of August. It tried to break it twice with no success, but at the third attempt it succeeded and with strength, triggering a 70 pips movement. The RSI is overbought, so it's expected the price will rest before attacking the resistance it found at 1.6568. The next target will be 1.6655 dollars per pound. If it can't handle 1.6568, we'll go back to new lows. The first step is going back to the short trend. On the long term, breaking the short trendline and consolidate 1.65 could take the pair to the start of an upwards move with 1.7 as a target.
