Alert - 15:25 (CET) - Stock index futures suggest a negative opening in Wall Street
|
The US futures stock indexes suggest an 2% lower opening, influenced by the employment situation in the private sector, that lost 250.000 jobs in November, over the 205.000 expected. This way, the global economic outlook is getting worse, prompting a demand for safe haven currencies by the investors.
On the other hand, the investors are worried about the General Motors situation, that needs that the US Congress approves a credit line of 8 billion dollars before December ends, to avoid bankruptcy.
