Rebounding from its 2008 low at 1.5265, the GbpUsd is trading at 1.6566 Dollars per Pound. This session, the pair is ranging from 1.6351 to 1.6672. The current price is over yesterday's close at 1.6373. In the hourly graphics, the 20- and 50-day Exponential Mobile Averages (EMA) are over the 200-day EMA.
The supports are set at 1.5471 (August 2003 low), 1.5219 (October 2002 low) and 1.5000 (key). As the resistance at 1.6000 (key) was broken, the traders are watching the next at 1.6601 (October 22nd high) and 1.7199 (October 21st high).
Checking the hourly graphics again, the current price is under the 38.20% (1.5767) and over the 23.60% (1.3701) Fibonacci retracement lines. The average volatility per hour is 450 pips and the 60-minute Relative Strenght Index (RSI) is at 62 points, rebounding from the overbought area.
