The EurJpy is trading at 140.95, ranging from 138.49 to 141.68. The current price is over yesterday's close at 135.01. In the hourly graphics, the 20- and 50-day Exponential Mobile Averages (EMA) are under the 200-day EMA. Still, we see the price challenging the 200-day EMA level.
The traders are contemplating the resistances at 146.86 (October 3rd high), 151.36 (September 30th high) and 156.84 (September 22nd high). They are also watching the supports at 140.00 (key), 138.65 (February 24th, 2006 high) and 134.81 (August 25th, 2005 high).
Since the week started, the Euro climbed 3.45% against the Yen, as the money markets are calm, after the government interventions in the European and US banks. This caused the investors to sell, momentarily, the Yen.
This is the third daily advance of the pair in the last two months.
Checking the hourly graphics again, the current price is under the 23.60% (151.12) and over the 38.20% (139.43) Fibonacci retracement lines. The volatility per hour is 240 pips and the 60-minute Relative Strenght Index (RSI) is at 52 points, rebounding from the overbought area.
